Sitting on the Western edge of the Peak District is Toft Hall, the biggest property in the Toft Estate. This Grade II listed property dates back all the way to 1590 and is perfect for those looking for a holiday home with quirky features and retained original features. Toft Hall also used to be home to the sheriff of Staffordshire, a representative of the king. Despite its historic nature and traditional characteristics, this fantastic property has been modernised to provide you with everything you would need to have a comfortable getaway or special event. The views from Toft Hall are that of the stunning Peak District countryside. On clear days, don’t be surprised if you’re able to see the Welsh mountains!
If you decide to hire Toft Hall for a holiday or celebration, 20 guests will be able to stay overnight in 10 cosy bedrooms. Whether you decide to relax in the private garden or enjoy the entertainment facilities within the house, we assure you a good time and privacy. If you have an extra 2-4 extra guests, Toft Nook, an outhouse in the very same courtyard can be hired. It features a double bedroom, shower room, sofa bed, and kitchenette thus providing space for up to 4 additional guests.
Kitchen & Dining Room
This self-catering Peak District accommodation features a fantastic granite & maple wood topped kitchen handmade by Smallbone, with all the utensils you could need. It features a built-in microwave & combination oven, 2 additional Neff ovens for the largest of meals, and ample space in fridge/freezer.
You can access a second kitchen through here which features an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine.
The dining room was built using traditional stone and has space for 20 guests.
Bedrooms
Toft Hall comes with 10 bedrooms – 5 doubles & 5 twins. We understand how important it is to have a good night’s sleep so all beds come with linens and warm duvets, and comfy mattresses. Flooring is carpeted and all bedrooms come with exerior views, most of which are to the garden.
You’ll also find that most bedrooms come with stunning wooden beams, showing of the character of this historic venue, as-well as one even coming with original wattle and daub.
There are no ground floor bedrooms at this property, but you will find one downstairs WC. In total, Toft Hall has 6 shower or bathrooms with lots of hot water.
Entertainment & Extra Information
Games Room – In your free time, ignite some healthy competition in the group by using the games room with table tennis and table football.
Xbox Snug – There is also a little room with an Xbox and lots of games/ DVD’s for kids both young and old to play with.
Gardens – You will enjoy a private garden to your disposal perfect for summer BBQ, and there is more than enough outdoor seating for all guests so why not enjoy a fun alfresco party with your loved ones?
Hot Tub – We have a 5 person hot tub at Toft Hall to sit back and enjoy the starry nights!
Please note: If there is a guest staying the night before, the time to drain, re-fill and re-heat means it will take some extra hours after your arrival time that it is fully heated. The weather also has a large impact on this. This could be up to 23:00 at night on check in day. The maximum temperature the hot tub reaches is 38 degrees and will automatically stay at this level once reached (we/ you will not be able to change from this temperature). Unfortunately we can not control the time it takes to heat up to speed this up. We are afraid that also children under 5 years old are not allowed in the hot tub.
Pets – Toft Hall is a pet-friendly accommodation but please note we charge an extra £30 per dog.
